Melkhout self-catering accomodation is a spacious comfortable beach house that is only ±160 meters from the Strand main beach. It is also walking distance from restaurants, cafés, a putt-putt course and a “supertube”.

The house is fully equipped for six persons with e.g fridge, microwave, stove, automatic washing machine, dishwasher, Reverse osmoses water filter, TV, music system, barbecue drum etc. It has four neat rooms with bedding.

Under the trees in the front garden is an eight seater bench with backrest.

There is safe parking for your vehicle and trailer behind a security gate.

Kindly pre-arange for daily visitors to stay overnight. Sorry, unfortunately we cannot allow pets. If needed, we can collect you from the airport and assist with car rental.

The waters of False Bay provide endless pleasures to the water sports enthusiasts, while the surrounding mountains provide scenic drives and hikes.

You will find an abundance of plant and animal life and the wine farms offerings will tickle your taste buds.

The Strand swimming beach is safe and there are popular spots for surfing, paddle ski, jet ski, rubber ducking, fishing and kite flying.

For the golfer there are four superb golf courses to choose from as well as a fully fledged practise range, all within a radius of 10 km.

The very popular and high class Somerset Mall centre is ± 5 km away and houses a great variety of entertainment, shops, restaurants and a movie house.

If all of this is not enough, Cape Town is only a 30 minute drive away and Stellenbosch 15 minutes.
